The London Borough of Brent has a population of 267,098 covering an area size of 44.2km² with 101,860 households. Brent Council is working in partnership with various organisations including EBP to improve and promote waste management within the Borough. It operates a weekly green box kerbside collection scheme to over 72,000 households on top of the 121 dedicated bring sites is has throughout the Borough.

The Mayor of Brent, Councillor Ahmad Shahzad is passionate about the protecting the environment for future generations. He urges the residents of Brent to think about the rubbish they generate and the impact on the environment. Residents are being educated to take steps towards reducing, reusing and recycling their waste in their aim to achieve the recycling target of 18% by 2005/2006.

Being a local company to Brent, Councillor Shahzad delightfully welcomed new recycling initiatives by EBP. There is an external Inkjet and Laser Recycling Bank at Brent's newest Civic Amenity Site at Abbey Road, Park Royal, NW10 7TJ.

This scheme will not only help to reduce waste in the Borough but also give the public a chance to raise fund for Tommy's Baby Charity.
